vintage Chinese New Year red embroidered jacket dates from the 1950s.
It is made of a bright red silk satin fabric with hand embroidered
colorful Chinese children celebrating the Chinese New Year. There
are many small children flying kites and holding lanterns, rowing
a dragon boat, an acrobatic foo dog, dragon dance, and large peach.
The robe style jacket has a mandarin style collar, with black silk
loop toggle style buttons for closure down the front, and is fully
lined in red silk with a size Medium tag sewn inside. The jacket
measures 34 inches long, with 48 inch hips, waist and bust. This
fabulous jacket is in excellent clean wearable condition and is
all hand stitched. It is great a piece of wearable Chinese art.
