from the 1940s. It is made of a bright blue "Velva-Lure"
cotton and rayon blend fabric. This retro swimsuit has adjustable
straps, figure control panels, shirred bra, and skirted bottom.
It still has the original paper tags from "Jantzen", and
"Gimbel Brothers" store. This rare large plus size women's
swimsuit is a size 44. The swimsuit measures 32 inches long, with
44 inch hips, a 40 inch waist, and 44 inch bust. It is in excellent
