This vintage Mr. Blackwell Custom floral rhinestone gown dates from the 1960s. It is made of a white ribbed cotton pique fabric with a bright colorful floral print design. There are pronged set rhinestone accents throughout. This fabulous loose fitting shift style floor length gown has a low scoop front neckline, plunging V back, small cap sleeves, and mermaid style pleated flared back train skirt. There is a zipper back closure with tiny matching fabric bow trim accents. It is fully lined with a "Mr. Blackwell Custom" label sewn inside. Mr. Blackwell is best known for his annual 'Worst Dressed' lists. His clothing line designs tended toward the theatrical. The gown measures 51 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 30 inch waist, and 38 inch bust. This wonderful quality made designer summer garden evening gown is in excellent wearable condition.
