This
antique Victorian era black jet beaded fringe cape capelet dates from 1880.
It is made of a black silk grosgrain ribbed fabric covered with
jet beading. There is a scrolling floral paisley beaded design done
throughout, with long beaded fringe strands of jet beading strung
along the bottom. This beautiful beaded short style cape capelet
has a high neck collar, with hooks and eyes down the front for closure
and is lined in black silk. The cape measures 16 inches long, with
a 15 inch neck and 34 inch bottom circumference. It is in good wearable
condition, with only a few loose beads, some faint age spotting
and the silk lining inside is a bit frayed. This a wonderful piece
