Brown & Bronze Beaded Cape Capelet. |

antique Victorian era brown and bronze beaded cape capelet dates
from 1880. It is made of a brown silk grosgrain ribbed fabric covered
with bronze beading. There is a scrolling floral beaded design,
with sheer beaded net mesh sides and layered beaded fringe strung
along the bottom. This beautiful beaded bodice style cape capelet
has a high neck collar, with hooks and eyes down the front for closure
and is lined in brown silk. The cape measures 22 inches long, with
a 15 inch neck, 36 inch bust and 16 inch back. It is in excellent
wearable condition, with only a few loose beads and a couple of
tiny breaks in the side net. This a rare wonderful piece of wearable
