antique Victorian era black silk embroidered mantle cape dates from
1890. It is made of a black silk satin fabric with hand embroidered
raised padded satin stitch embroidery work done in a floral design.
This marvelous mourning mantle style cape has long lappet front
panels and scalloped edging trim. It has an open front with no closure,
and is not lined. The cape measures 17 inches long, 68 inches bottom
circumference, with 17 inch wide shoulders. It is in excellent wearable
