This antique Victorian era royal blue silk button trim lace dress dates from the 1880s. It is made of a light weight royal blue silk fabric with white lace appliqué trim around the collar and cuffs. This gorgeous gown includes a bodice and matching skirt. The fitted bodice has a pleated pigeon front with tiny button trim accents, a high neck collar and long layered tapered full sleeves. It is fully lined with stays sewn inside and hook & eye closures. The bodice measures 17 inch long, with a 26 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 13 inch back. There is a full unlined skirt with a slight bustle back and tiny button trim accents. The skirt measures 41 inches long with a 26 inch waist. It is in good wearable condition with only some discoloration and a small stain on the front bodice (see bottom photo for close-up). This is a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana textile art.
