antique Victorian era black wool soutache appliqué cape dates
from 1890. It is made of a fine black wool fabric with scrolling
soutache work decorative designs appliquéd and stitched on.
There is silk ruffle trim edging which has shredded and frayed giving
it a fringed look. This wonderful winter cape has a high neck collar
with a hook and eye closure on the front and is fully lined. The
cape measures 136 inches bottom circumference, with a 17 inch neck.
It is in good wearable condition and is wonderful piece of wearable
