This antique white net embroidered drop waist dress and jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a sheer fine pleated white net with a floral vine leaf and snowflake pattern embroidered in raised padded satin stitch embroidery work and cluny bobbin lace trim edging. There are colorful french knot embroidered flowers on the matching dress front and jacket lapel. This lovely lace loose fitting drop waist sleeveless dress has a low scoop front neckline and a scalloped lace trimmed hemline. The dress measures 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist and bust. There is a matching loose fitting, long sleeve jacket with lace trim edging, a small fold over collar lapel and an open front with no closure. The jacket measures 26 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist, a 36 inch bust and 15 inch back. It is in excellent clean wearable condition, with only a small faint stain on the lace trim jacket sleeve cuff. This is a wonderful piece of wearable romantic lace art and a rare find.
