antique Victorian era crinoline wire hoop cage bustle skirt dates
from the 1880s. It is made of wired hoops wrapped with linen fabric.
There are long linen cloth straps coming down from the waistband
attached to hoops along the bottom with an adjustable buckle front
for closure. The back of the cage has an extended wired crescent
bustle back for added fullness. It measures 32 inches long, with
a 27 inch adjustable waist and is 54 inches in circumference. This
rare hoop cage bustle skirt petticoat would be worn underneath for
added fullness. It is in good clean wearable condition. There are
two broken wires which have been repaired and wrapped together.
