antique Victorian era crinoline wire hoop cage skirt dates from
the 1880s. It is made of wired hoops wrapped with linen fabric.
There are long linen cloth straps coming down from the waistband
attached to hoops along the bottom with an adjustable buckle front
for closure. The hoop skirt measures 30 inches long, with a 29 inch
adjustable waist and is 66 inches in circumference. This rare hoop
cage skirt petticoat would be worn underneath for added fullness.
