This antique Victorian era brown silk soutache bustle skirt and collar dates from the 1880s. It is made of a brown sheer silk chiffon fabric, with brown velvet trim and white wool brown soutache work panels done in a scrolling grape vine leaf pattern, with medallions of gold metallic lace floral appliqués. This beautiful three piece outfit has a bustle skirt with draping fabric front panel, a large bow bustle back and gathered waistband. The skirt has been restored and relined in a white silk fabric. It measures 39 inches long, with a 33 inch waist. Included is a matching soutache work collar yoke with brown velvet trim and a remnant bodice panel. The collar measures 20 inches wide, 20 inches long and the panel measures 17 by 17 inches. This stunning skirt and bodice remnants are in excellent condition and perhaps could be restored by a talented seamstress into a new bodice top.
