Edwardian Irish Crochet Lace Jacket Top
Edwardian Irish Crochet Lace Jacket Top.

Edwardian Irish Crochet Lace Jacket Top Front view.

This Edwardian era antique Irish crochet lace jacket top dates from 1910. It is made of a white raised floral Irish crochet lace with scrolling connecting brides. This beautiful blouse style jacket is sheer with no lining, has a scoop neckline, long tapered sleeves, a fitted linen waistband, open front and no closure. It looks like the blouse was perhaps made into a jacket later by removing the back closures and wearing it backwards as an open front jacket. The top measures 17 inches long, with a 25 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 15 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with only a tiny break on the neckline (see close-up photo below). This is a wonderful piece of wearable textile lace art.
