This Edwardian era ladies linen duster motoring coat dates from 1910. It is made of an ecru color heavy fine quality linen fabric, with detailed appliqué work trim accent designs. This lovely ladies loose fitting long floor length duster style driving motoring coat has large carved mother of pearl buttons on the front for closure and on the sleeve cuffs. There is a high neck collar which can be worn up or folded down with a neck strap button closure, long full sleeves with gathered shoulders, rolled cuffs and two front side patch pockets. The coat would have been worn to protect ones clothing from the dust and mud when riding and driving in a motor car. The coat measures 51 inches long, with 50 inch hips, waist, a 44 inch bust, 15 inch back and 27 inch long sleeves. It is in excellent clean wearable condition, with only a tiny faint age spot on the front. A rare find.
