Black & Gray Striped Coutil Corset. |
This
antique Victorian era black and gray striped coutil working corset
dates from 1900. It is made of a black and gray striped cotton coutil
fabric, with decorative white stitching around the top, bottom and
bone stays casing. This ladies everyday working style corset has
a busk hook front laced closure, boned stays sewn inside and comes
with long white corset string laces for lacing up the back. It is
stamped on the outside "PAR" and was likely worn in a
period movie and was a deaccession from Paramount Pictures. The
corset is a large wearable size measuring 12 inches long, with a
34 inch adjustable top and bottom. It is in as-is wearable condition
with some wear to the fabric with a few tiny holes and minor alterations.
Some of the bone stays are original made of steel and some are replaced
plastic and some are missing. $150 |
