& Co London Paris Silk Opera Cloak Cape. |
This
gorgeous Art Deco vintage Liberty & Co. London Paris silk opera
cloak cape dates from the 1920s. It is made of a fine black silk
outer fabric and green silk fabric lining the inside, with black
silk braided rope trim edging. This exquisite evening opera cloak
floor length long cape has a wonderful loose fitting draping style,
with dolman sleeve arm hole openings, a large shawl style collar
and a long black rope tie with tassel trim for closure at the neck.
There is a "Liberty & Co. London & Paris" label
sewn inside the neck. Liberty has been synonymous with luxury and
great design. It was one of the first to embrace the Art Nouveau
style and became known for their textiles in this style. The cape
measures 46 inches long and 100 inches in circumference along the
bottom. It is in excellent clean wearable condition and is truly
a wonderful and unique quality piece of Liberty wearable art! A
