This antique Edwardian era women's Columbia Gymnasium Suit Co. athletic sports outfit dates from 1910. It is made of a fine light weight black wool fabric. This ladies athletic sportswear outfit has a middy top blouse, with a sailor collar, V neckline, with a black silk ribbon bow tie, short sleeves and hidden button closures down the front. The top measures 18 inches long, with a 24 inch waist, 40 inch bust and 14 inch back. Included is a pair of matching loose fitting bloomer pantaloon pants which attach to the waistband with button closure hidden inside and gathered elastic pant leg cuffs. The pants measure 31 inches long, with a 14 inch inseam, 50 inch hips and a 26 inch waist. There is a "Columbia Gymnasium Suit Co. Boston, Mass" label sewn inside and a "Union Made Clean and Healthful Conditions" label. The athletic uniform is in good wearable condition, with only a few small frayed holes and the elastic is stretched out on one pant leg. This antique women's sports clothing is a rare find.
