This antique Japanese plum purple pansy embroidered silk sash kimono robe dates from the 1920s. It is made of a plum purple color fine silk fabric, with purple silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work of pansy flowers. This lovely long floor length kimono robe has an open front, matching silk embroidered fringe trim ends sash tie belt for closure, full kimono sleeves, a rolled cotton batting stuffed hem and is fully lined. The kimono measures 60 inches long, with 21 inch long kimono sleeves and is 54 inches across the shoulders. It is in good condition, with some fraying along the bottom hemline and inside silk lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable antique Japanese textile art!
