This pair of vintage Saks Fifth Avenue red wool gold Turkish slippers date from the 1920s. They are made of a red wool felt fabric with gold metallic thread soutache embroidery work done in a decorative Art Deco geometric design. These ethnic Ottoman Turkish style slippers have been hand stitched, with squared toes and are fully lined inside with a white silk grosgrain fabric and a "Saks Fifth Avenue" label. The shoes measure 8 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide. My guess on size would be about a 5 or 6 narrow width and they are stamped on the bottoms with a 3. They are in good condition and look to have never been worn. There are a couple of tiny moth nip holes.
