This pair of antique Victorian Civil War era black wool straight sole high top boots date from 1863. They are made of a fine black wool upper boot and black leather shoe with decorative white stitching accents. These rare high top lace-up boots have squared toes, straight soles and no left or right distinction. They have low stacked wooden cube heels and the original paper label still attached with the patent date of August 1863. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 9 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 1 inch high heels. They are in good condition and have been gently worn. The boots are missing the original shoe laces and have some minor wear to the wool fabric with some slight fade.
