Black Silk Brocade High Button Boots. |
This
pair of antique Victorian era black silk brocade leather high button
boots date from 1900. They are made of a black patent leather front
shoe with a black silk brocade textured fabric upper boot. The boots
have rounded toes, 14 original black shoe buttons and stacked wood
spool heels. They are lined in leather along the tops and stamped
inside "Chalifaux Co. Lowell, MASS.". The boots measure
8 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 1/2
inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's
foot, but my guess would be about a size 6 narrow width. They have
been gently worn and are in good wearable condition. These are beautiful
quality made antique boots.
