Brown Leather Steel Cut Beaded Bow Shoes. |
| This
pair of antique Victorian era brown leather steel cut beaded bow
shoes date from the 1870s. They are made of an iridescent brown
leather with steel cut beading and brown silk ribbon bows trimming
the fronts. There are pierced open cut work front toes with decorative
beaded mesh covering. These beautiful beaded dance slipper shoes
might have been worn to a special event ball. The shoes measure
10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 inch French Louis XV high
heels. They are in good condition and have been gently worn, with
some scuffs, a small hole on the side heel of one shoe, a few missing
beads and some fraying along the silk trim edging. These would make
for a wonderful display piece. $100 |
