antique Edwardian Titanic era black woven pink roses toque hat dates
from 1912. It is made of black woven horse hair on a wired frame,
and trimmed with pink silk rose flowers, black ostrich feather plumes,
and a large black jet beaded medallion on the front. This stunning
toque style brimless hat has a large oversized round bowl shaped
crown which is fully lined, and would have sat atop a Gibson Girl
style hairdo. The hat measures 8 inches tall, 30 inches in circumference
outside, and 20 inches in circumference inside the crown. It is
in excellent clean wearable condition. $250 |
