antique Edwardian Titanic era cream wool black silk feathered hat
dates from 1912. It is made of a cream colored wool fabric with
black silk ribbon fringe trim around the brim, crown and black ostrich
feathers cascading down the side. This beautiful grand hat has a
wide round brim lined underneath in black velvet and a large oversized
tall round bowl shaped crown which is fully lined and would have
sat atop a full Gibson Girl style hairdo. The hat measures 50 inches
in circumference outside and 29 inches in circumference inside the
crown. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few tiny moth
nips and dust on the cream wool. $250 |
