vintage lilac purple straw wide brim flapper cloche hat dates from
the roaring 1920s. It is made of a tightly woven lilac purple color
straw, with a lavender silk stitched ribbon hat band bow trimming
the back. This fabulous form fitting flapper cloche style hat has
a wide uneven brim, with a decorative folded gathered back and would
make for a wonderful Great Gatsby summertime picnic hat. It is lined
in silk with a "Glenmore Hats New York" and "Mame.
B. Bowman" label size 23 1/2 tag sewn inside. The hat measures
22 inches inside crown circumference. It is in good wearable condition,
with only some fraying of the inside silk lining and a few faint
small age spots on the silk and straw. $150 |
