vintage yellow woven horse hair wide brim ribbon hat dates from
the 1930s. It is made of a sheer pale yellow tightly woven horse
hair straw. There is pastel pink and blue velvet ribbon trim and
bows along the outer brim, with a yellow grosgrain ribbon hat band,
bow and a decorative criss-crossing design. This sensational summer
hat has a wide oversize brim and tilted low shallow crown. There
is a "R. H. Macy & Co. Inc. New York" store label
and size 22 1/2 tag sewn inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside
circumference and 54 inches outside. It is in excellent clean wearable
condition.
