| This
antique Edwardian era natural straw ladies boater sailor hat dates
from 1905. It is made of a tightly woven raised natural straw. There
is a black and white striped silk grosgrain ribbon trim hat band.
This stunning summertime sporting ladies sailor style boater hat
has a straight wide brim and small crown atop. The hat would have
sat atop a Gibson Girl hairdo tilted forward and secured with a
hat pin. There is a leather sweatband sewn inside the crown with
a size 6 1/4 paper tag attached. The hat measures 50 inches in circumference
outside and 18 inches inside the crown. It is in good wearable condition.
