Cloisonné Steel Cut Beaded Purse. |
This
exquisite antique French cloisonné steel cut beaded purse
dates from the 1950s. It is made up of tiny steel cut beads colored
in shades of gold, silver, pink and white done in a floral scrolling
design. The purse has a gold metal wired beaded top with white and
red floral cloisonné work. There is a front medallion clasp
closure, and gold metal mesh chain handle on the top for carrying.
The inside is fully lined in a silvery gray silk satin fabric, with
a "Made in France" label sewn inside. This quality made
beaded purse measures 8 inches across, and 6 inches tall. It is
in excellent useable condition with no missing beads, and only a
small faint age spot on the inside fabric lining. $200 |
