antique Victorian era wire mesh cage bustle pad dates from the 1880s.
It is made of wire mesh done in a raised layered crescent shape
design. There are cloth linen straps attached to it and a tie belt
around the waist with buckle closure. This unique bustle pad is
also called a "crinoletta" and was worn below your waist
on the back to distend skirts. It measures 10 inches long and 5
inches wide, with a 30 inch adjustable waistband belt. The bustle
pad is in good wearable condition with only some slight wear and
age spotting to the cloth straps. A rare find. $100 |
