antique Russian Imperial Exhibit silver brocade panel dates from
the late 1800s. It is made of a hand-loomed white silk and silver
metallic brocade fabric with a rococo style floral leaf pattern
design. This wonderful fabric panel swatch comes from a collection
assembled at the Winter Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia from the
Russian Imperial Exhibit with the Russian Empire's Great Coat of
Arms paper tag attached on the bottom corner. The Winter Palace
was the official residence of the Russian Tsars from 1732 to 1917.
The fabric panel measures 33 inches long and 22 inches wide. It
is in good condition, with only some slight fraying. This is a wonderful
piece of antique Russian historical textile art. $100 |
