antique Edwardian era black chantilly lace mourning parasol dates
from 1910. It is made of a black silk lining, with a sheer black
net tiny floral pattern fabric overlay and sheer fine black chantilly
lace floral bow pattern trim ruffle bottom. There is beautiful carved
burl wood polished handle and finial top. The parasol measures 38
1/2 inches long and is 96 inches in circumference when opened. It
is in excellent useable condition, with a metal frame inside which
is in fine working order. There is a tiny hole on the inside silk
lining which is difficult to see. This is truly a magnificent mourning
parasol.
