Unworn Victorian White Leather High Top Button Boots. |
This pair of unworn antique Victorian era white leather high top button boots date from 1890. They are made of white leather, with pointed toes, 13 original white shoe buttons along the side for closure and stacked painted white wooden spool heels. They are lined in leather along the tops, with a gold embossed "Claflin Philadelphia" stamped inside. The boots measure 10 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a size 6 narrow width. They are in excellent condition and have never been worn. They do have some minor scuffs and faint dirt smudges from storage. These are beautiful quality made antique boots and are a museum deaccession.
