This exquisite antique Edwardian era cream silk lined battenburg tape lace long coat jacket dates from 1910. It is made of an off white cream color sheer battenburg tape lace with connecting thread picot ornamented bars, buttonhole stitches, decorative spiral, floral, leaf, scroll work designs, linen fabric circular appliqué inserts on the sleeves and lace ruffle trim edging the front neckline opening. This lovely lace coat jacket is a long below the knee length, with a loose fitting style, gathered shoulders, long full sleeves with flared wide cuffs coming to a point, gold etched glass button closures down the front and is fully lined in a cream color silk satin backing lining. The coat measures 45 inches long, with a 42 inch bust, 42 inch waist, 42 inch hips, 21 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, needing some restoration repairs, with several breaks in the lace and some fraying on the inside silk lining along the shoulders and neckline (see close-ups).
