Vintage Japanese Silk Screen Plum Blossom Reversible Haori Kimono Robe Jacket This vintage Japanese silk screen plum blossom reversible haori kimono robe jacket dates from the Showa Period 1930s.

This vintage Japanese silk screen plum blossom reversible haori kimono robe jacket dates from the Showa Period 1930s. It is made of a brownish gray taupe color silk fabric with a silk screen design of plum blossom flowers, bamboo leaves, Japanese maple leaves, a honeycomb pattern background and gold, silver metallic thread couching work outlining some flowers. This unique Japanese haori kimono robe style short jacket is reversible, has a red woven rope tie strap for closure on the front and kimono sleeves. The kimono measures 40 inches long, with a 42 inch chest, 40 inch waist, 24 inch long kimono sleeves and a 28 inch shoulder seam. It is in good as-is condition, has not been cleaned, with a a small age spot stain on the front and faint water spot stain on the back (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art!
