Vintage Edwardian Black & White Cotton Gingham Plaid Red Trim Swimsuit Dress
This vintage Edwardian era black and white cotton gingham plaid red trim swimsuit dress dates from 1910. It is made of a black & white gingham checked plaid cotton fabric, with red fabric trim edging. This wonderful women's old fashioned bathing suit costume dress has a V front neckline, short sleeves, a fitted waistband, button closures down the back and is missing the bloomers pantaloons which would have been worn underneath. The dress measures 45 inches long, with a 38 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 60 inch hips and a 13 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, with several small rust spot stains scattered on the front top and skirt, faint underarm discoloration and a few small frayed holes along the bottom skirt (see close-ups). This is truly a fantastic antique authentic "bathing beauty" costume and wonderful piece of womens sportswear wearable art!
