This vintage embroidered French knot white net crochet filet lace tabard top dress dates from 1918. It is made of a white sheer tulle net fabric, with raised padded satin stitch, French knot embroidery work done in flower baskets, vine leaf floral designs and embroidered net crochet filet lace trim along the sleeves and underskirt hemline. This lovely lace dress has a layered style with attached tabard overdress, open sides, snap closures on the shoulder and waist, a short sleeve underdress with squared neckline, a fitted waistband, tiny mother of pearl button closures on front camisole top lining inside. The dress is a larger size measuring 53 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 38 inch waist, 50 inch hips and 13 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a few faint small stains on the front skirt and a small frayed hole on the hemline lace trim which are difficult to see.
