Vintage Hong Kong Chinese Character Ji Lucky Black Silk Damask Coat 1940s Jacket
This vintage Hong Kong Chinese character Ji lucky black silk damask coat jacket dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black silk satin damask weave brocade fabric with a colorful metallic woven Chinese character Ji design for luck and other precious objects, symbols of wealth, good fortune. There is decorative quilted stitching along the edgings. This beautiful black Chinese inspired evening coat jacket has a loose fitting boxy style, is a short mid hip length, with long full sleeves, rolled cuffs, a mandarin collar, side slit pockets, black and white silk knotted button toggle loop closures and is fully lined with broad shoulder padding sewn inside. There is a "Made in Hong Kong" label sewn inside. The coat measures 25 inches long, with a 42 inch bust, 40 inch waist, 13 inch long sleeves and a 17 inch back. It is in excellent condition and beautifully made with quality workmanship. This is truly a wonderful piece of custom made Hong Kong Chinese wearable art!
