This vintage Afghanistan Ahir Banjara India ghagra kutch mirrorwork embroidery skirt dates from the 1970s. It is made a red cotton fabric with hand sewn bright colorful kutch embroidery work, chain stitching, satin stitching and buttonhole stitching surrounding small glass mirrors creating an ethnic floral design. This traditional Afghanistan Ahir Banjara tribal wedding skirt is similar in style to the Indian Ghagra Chaniya skirt from Gujarat, Rajasthan India. The beautiful boho wedding skirt has a full long length hippie style, with an indigo blue polka dot cotton waistband missing the back closure and is unlined. It is hand made with wonderful quality workmanship and a New York shop added a "Stitches Made in Afghanistan" label inside marketing it as boho gypsy hippie style fashion. The skirt measures 34 inches long, with a 30 inch waist and 70 inch hips. It is in good condition, with only a few cracks in the mirrors and slight imperfections.
