This vintage Slender Knit Sportswear NY floral embroidered cardigan sweater dates from the 1920s. It is made of a white silk jersey knitwear with colorful pastel embroidered floral vine leaf designs. This sensational womens sportswear sweater has a cardigan long loose fitting style with an open front, no closure, long full sleeves with flared wide cuffs, an embroidered fold over lapel collar, side slit pockets on the bottom and is unlined. There is a "Slender Knit Sportswear New York" label sewn inside the bottom hem. The sweater measures 38 inches long, with a 44 inch bust, 44 inch waist, 44 inch hips, 14 inch back and 28 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a few faint small staining discoloration on the back neck, sleeves which is barely noticeable (see close-up). This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of womens knitwear sportswear wearable art!
