This antique Edwardian era black silk soutache braided rope passementerie trim long evening coat dates from 1910. It is made of a heavy black silk grosgrain ribbed textured fabric, with black silk soutache braided rope, woven passementerie trim accents. This wonderful winter long evening coat jacket has a loose fitting swing style, with decorative layered trim over the shoulders, with long full sleeves, braided trim around the collar neckline, hook closures at the neck and is fully lined in a black silk fabric inside. The coat measures 47 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 50 inch waist, 50 inch hips, 23 inch long sleeves and a 13 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, needing some minor restoration with some frayed splits on silk lining which needs to be removed, replaced, some frayed open seams stitching attaching the shoulder trim, top collar (see close-up).
