This rare amazing vintage Art Deco black silk fur trim flapper cocoon opera coat evening jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a lustrous black silk satin charmeuse fabric with black fur trim edging the neckline and front opening. This amazing Art Deco flapper evening opera coat has a long, loose fitting cocoon wrap style with a single large black jet glass beaded button closure, a fur collar trim, long full sleeves, layered back skirt trim and is lined in a white flannel fabric inside. The coat measures 43 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 42 inch waist, 42 inch hips, 28 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, has not been cleaned, is missing the original silk lining, some fraying on the remaining silk lining the sleeves, a few tiny moth holes, stains on the bottom back hem and front shoulder (see close-ups). This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of Art Deco textile art! $200 |
