This vintage black velvet pastel chain stitch embroidered flowers drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black luxurious silk velvet fabric, with colorful pastel chain stitch hand embroidered flower trim accents and edging. This beautiful black velvet dress has a loose fitting drop waist style with a side gathering drape, Roman 1587 style stamped gold coin pink coral celluloid bezel set buckle trim, long sleeves with an embroidered trim strap snap closure cuff, a V front neckline with with velvet bow tie trim and is fully lined with a black silk slip sewn inside. The dress measures 42 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 32 inch waist, 42 inch hips, 21 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. It is in good as-is condition with a few tiny pin holes scattered and a small mended repair on the back top (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
