It is made of a white hand made battenburg tape lace with connecting thread picot ornamented bars, buttonhole stitches and decorative spiral, floral, leaf, scroll work designs. This lovely lace bodice blouse has a short cropped bolero jacket style with an open front, tiny mother of pearl button closures, 3/4 length full puffy sleeves, a rounded fold over collar and is sheer unlined. The top measures 17 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 17 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a few small breaks in the lace and a tiny faint stain on the collar front tip. This is truly an exceptional, quality made piece of hand made antique lace wearable art!
