Vintage Japanese Yellow Gold Couching Embroidery Dragon Pajama WWII Souvenir Set
This vintage Japanese yellow nylon gold couching embroidered dragon pajamas set dates from the 1940s. It is made of a bright sunshine yellow color nylon fabric, with black trim edging and gold metallic thread couching embroidery work dragons. This stunning souvenir pajama ensemble box set from WWII includes the original yellow fabric covered gift box with inside mirror, pocket, mule slippers with rabbit fur trim edging, a mid length short robe style jacket, with mandarin collar, long full sleeves, pockets, toggle closures down the front, matching palazzo pants with elastic back waistband which is loose needing replacing and a long floor length robe with wide lapel collar, pockets and attached belted tie sash. There is a size Medium tag sewn inside. The top measures 24 inches long, with a 38 inch chest, 21 inch long sleeves and a 15 inch back. The pants measure 38 inches long, with a 22 inch inseam, 32 inch waist and 40 inch hips. The robe measures 48 inches long, with a 40 inch bust, 20 inch long sleeves and a 17 inch back. The slippers measure 9 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide and the storage gift box is 14 by 10 inches. It is in good condition and appears to have never been worn. The storage gift box is in fair as-is condition with water spot stains, a broken strap and snap closure, fraying along the side edging and tarnish to the mirror. This is truly a wonderful piece of Japanese WWII era souvenir wearable art
