It is made of a sheer black silk Battenburg braided woven tape lace latticework with decorative criss crossing, spiral circular pattern designs. This beautiful black Gothic lace jacket has a short hip length with a fitted tailored style, peplum skirted waist, short wide flared sleeves, hook closures on the front for closures and is sheer, unlined. The jacket measures 24 inches long, with a 34 inch bust and 26 inch waist. It is in good as-is condition, with the original silk lining having been removed and some fraying, discoloration along the bottom hemline, sleeve cuffs (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of antique Victoriana wearable art!
