This antique Victorian era brown beige wool pinwheel applique silk bow trim winter cloak cape dates from 1890. It is made of a beige fine wool fabric, with brown wool applique cutout pinwheel design details. This beautiful brown winter cloak cape is a short mid length, with a layered tiered style, detailed applique work collar, a brown silk ribbon bow trim on the front and back neck with hook closures on the front and is fully lined in a beige silk fabric, with a "Stickney & Smith Boylston St. Boston" label sewn inside the neck. The cape measures 20 inches long, with a 50 inch chest, 14 inch neck and 19 inches across the back shoulders. It is in good condition, with only a couple of tiny moth nip holes and the inside silk lining has frayed splits shattering along the bottom (see close-ups). This is truly a rare and wonderful piece of antique Victoriana wearable art.
