This antique Victorian era white cotton batiste lace Fleur de lis chemise summer nightgown shift dress dates from 1900. It is made of a fine white cotton batiste fabric, with lace trim edging along the yoke neckline collar and fleur de lis lace cutwork applique trim accents. This summer nightgown chemise shift dress is a long tea length with a loose fitting sleeveless style, ruffle hem, blue ribbon woven drawstring neckline and is sheer, unlined. The nightgown measures 42 inches long, with a 34 inch bust, 42 inch waist and 42 inch hips. It is in good condition, with a small mended repair on the lace front trim and a faint stained frayed hole on the bottom ruffle hem (see close-ups).
