This vintage Victorian style Point de Venise needle lace white patchwork short bolero jacket dates from the 1970s, but was created from antique lace fabrics and trims. It is made of a white Point de Venise durable needle lace with a floral spiral scrolling rococo pattern, heavy outlining cordonnets, buttonholed brides and a patchwork of other embroidered net, batiste fabric pieces, filet, crochet, cluny, torchon, bobbin laces. This lovely lace jacket has a short cropped bolero shrug style, with an open front, no closure, long sleeves, an upturned collar which can be worn folded down and is sheer, unlined. The jacket measures 15 inches long, with a 40 inch chest, 25 inch long sleeves and a 17 inch back. It is in good condition, with only a some slight faint yellowing discoloration on the front (see close-up). This is truly a beautiful custom made piece of Victorian inspired wearable art! $150 |
