This vintage antique Chinese dragon blue embroidered pongee silk linen souvenir kimono robe dates from the 1920s. It is made of a natural off white cream color pongee silk linen woven fabric, with blue silk raised padded satin stitch embroidered roundels dragons, clouds, pearls, red and white accents. This Chinese dragon souvenir kimono robe has a long floor length loose fitting style with an open front, no closure, embroidered red temple shrine with Chinese characters, personalized initials D.E.E.N. which only the .E. remaining in blue, long full sleeves embroidered dragons on each side, one on the back and is unlined. The kimono measures 50 inches long, with a 46 inch chest, 46 inch waist and 22 inch back. It is in good condition, with some faint yellowing discoloration on the back. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Chinese textile art. $100 |
