This Edwardian era black velvet jet beaded winter evening coat dates from 1910. It is made of a brownish black silk velvet fabric, with black silk and jet beaded trim edging. This wonderful warm winter evening coat has a small rounded collar, long full sleeves, a fitted back, kick pleat slit back skirt for easy movement and hidden black silk covered buttons down the front for closure. It is fully lined with a black silk quilted fabric for warmth inside, with wonderful construction. The coat measures 44 inches long, with 42 inch hips a 40 inch waist, 36 bust, 12 inch back and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with only some fraying on the inside silk lining at the neck.
